A man is dead after getting hit by a sedan on Apalachee Parkway Wednesday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A spokesperson with FHP says the crash happened at around 6:45 p.m. near Williams Road.
A release from the patrol says the pedestrian crossed in front of the sedan after leaving the grassy median in the center of the road. The spokesperson says there are no crosswalks in that area.
The man was pronounced dead on scene.
Following the crash, crews closed off all westbound lanes on Apalachee Parkway for around three hours.
The FHP says the driver in this case was a 22-year-old woman who stayed on scene.
